What is abdominal
ultrasound?
Abdominal ultrasound is a non-invasive scan that uses sound waves to image the organs inside the abdomen.
Every study is acquired as a complete, systematic examination to a standardized protocol, then interpreted and reported by an IVUSS-certified veterinarian, and in some cases a board-certified veterinary radiologist.
The referring practice provides the history and the clinical question. The report returns with findings and a specialist opinion.
